Swiss Absinth
Tasting Notes: Fine Swiss absinthe distilled by hand in Couvet, in the Val-de-Travers: the original birthplace of absinthe.
Based on a 1935 recipe and sold unofficially since 2000; launched when Swiss absinthe was legalised on March 1st, 2005. The recipe is based on more than ten plants. A great wealth of aromas and then a lingering but subtle bitterness are its main characteristics. This absinthe won first place and the "Golden Absinthe" prize at the National Competition of Swiss spirits on September 16, 2005.
La Clandestine is a "bleue" or "blanche" absinthe: crystal clear before adding water, it turns milky-white when you add 4/5 parts of water. Some absinthe lovers like to pour the water slowly over sugar, but Claude-Alain prefers his La Clandestine without sugar.
100% natural and a long-time favorite of many absinthe connoisseurs.
